How to design a workshop Task 1: Read silently and create a mind map. ( f.1 )

Creating your profile Consider your teaching approach ( f.2 ) Consider your teaching style (f.4) Self-evaluation _ What do I need to develop- (f.5)

Understanding your trainee Look at (f.6) and discuss the following questions 1. How can an understanding of these factors help you to provide training more effectively? 2. Are there any other factors you would add? Discuss a questionnaire (f.7)

What makes workshops effective Read the letter and decide what advice you would give.

Dear problem page, My problem is my trainees. I tried very hard to present information which is useful for them, but I can't get my message across. When I'm presenting information, I list the facts clearly, reading from notes I have carefully prepared and I don't ask them to do anything, just sit and listen to me. When I ask them if they have questions, they just stay silent. When I am presenting tasks and activities, they don't listen properly and so they have problems trying to carry them out. I do my best to make them feel comfortable, for example, I try not to look directly at anyone and I'm always serious- I don't tell jokes .This situation is making me really nervous and I find it quite difficult to stand in front of them so I walk up and down. Where am I going wrong? Please give me some advice. Troubled trainer
