The Iditarod Trail By Carrie A and Lauren M

The Iditarod Trail The Alaskan Gold Rush of the 1920’s attracted dogs to the trail. The trail starts in Anchorage, Alaska and ends in Nome. It passes through over 20 cities.

The Iditarod Race The Iditarod Race started in 1973. It attracted mushers to the Iditarod Trail. The race is over 1,150 miles. Lasts 10-17 days.
