G! It’s in you! A generation is = 25 years Grandparents Who are you? We all have someone else living in us. (Dad/Mom/Spirit) They’re all fighting for position. Who do you really want to be? Father/Mother You Your children

Does your family/home consist of? Consist of leadership: Consist of respect: Consist of teaching: Consist of good and bad experiences: Consist of love: What is a parents role in your life: To teach their child to survive: Shelter, Food, Water, Clothing, Education, and all the things that come with Love.

Why are our families failing?

Generational Patterns When was the last time you ask yourself why do I do what I do? Have you sat down and talk to your parents about your grandparents behaviors? Have you sat down and talk to your parents about why they do what they do? Have you talk to your parents about the success and failures of their relationships? Have you found yourself saying I do what my parents do and fighting yourself over it?

Generational Patterns What is a Generational Pattern? A generational pattern is a negative pattern of behavior that is thought to hold a family in bondage. Wrongs committed by earlier generations are passed down from one generation to the next creating an often devastating cycle of abuse and torment Read more: How to Break a Generational Curse - Part I | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_5091774_break-generational-curse-part.html#ixzz14tQmeJLi

What’s your Pattern? Substance abuse, Alcoholism, Fighting and non-communication, Lair, Cheater, teenage pregnancy, “momma had a baby at 15, I had a baby at 15”, homosexuality

Generational Patterns Patterned Examples include: Sexual abuse (Rape and/or Molestation) Physical abuse (Grabbing, Slapping, Punching, Kicking) Substance abuse (Weed, Meth, Rx Pills, Cocaine, LSD, Kush) Alcoholism (Misuse & Abuse) Divorce (Pattern of displaced trust and selfishness) Promiscuity (casual sex with many partners) And homosexuality (“willing it”, teaching it) Read more: How to Break a Generational Curse - Part I | eHow.com http://www.ehow.com/how_5091774_break-generational-curse-part.html#ixzz14tSQbDio

What role have you played into your generational patterns?

*Not everyone responds or deals with things the same.* Verbal Abuse Verbal abuse is a form of battery that involves the use of words, rather than blows and punches. In a verbally abusive situation, words are used to attack, control, and inflict harm on another person. Verbally abusive behavior goes far beyond mean behavior; it involves inflicting psychological violence on another person, attacking the very nature of an individual's being and attempting to destroy his or her spirit. http://www.wisegeek.com/what-is-the-wisegeek-privacy-policy.htm. last update Apr. 2009. 26 June 2012 *Not everyone responds or deals with things the same.*

Physical Abuse Describe as the physical hitting and/or grabbing of a person, which leads to bodily harm (bruises, scratches, cuts, stabbing, gun shots, etc). Results: Strikes fear. Expectation of abuse. Increased levels of anxiety and anger. Breakdown in verbal communication. Negative outlooks on life and/or feeling less than your worth. False hopes. Lack of Respect for partner and self. *Not everyone responds or deals with things the same.*

Sexual Abuse: From who: Family or partners. Type: Verbally & Physically. Forms: Rape or Molestation

Feeling that’s all you’re good for or all you have to offer. Results: *May*: Use Sex to obtain status or favor, material worth, money, and love, maintain love, and keep love. Feeling that’s all you’re good for or all you have to offer. You never obtain sexual/nirvana-like pleasure or decreased sexual desires. Don’t believe in love or show love through sex. Shallow. Weak Communicator. Emotional roller coaster. Drown out feelings. *Not everyone responds or deals with things the same.*

How do you break these Curses? You must open up lines of communication first. Ask questions that will hurt your feelings! Recognize the pattern or curse for what it is! Decide if you can live with it or not! (How is it affecting who you are and the person you’re growing to become) Realize that you will pass it on to your child if not treated! (each generation is worse than the one in front of it) Therapy and Improving your relationship with the God you serve. (Don’t be ashamed to talk about it)
