Short answer question Describe characteristics of Surprise, Arizona. On the test I will ask you to describe the “place” of Surprise. That means I want you to use the characteristics to describe it. For example… Grand Rapids Michigan has lots of lakes and rivers, has tall buildings in the city center, and has a heavy Hispanic influence. The languages there are mainly Spanish and English.
Essay Question For the essay, I will be grading you on your topic sentence, reasons/evidence, and conclusion. You get two points for a topic sentence, 2 points for each reason (I need 3 reasons), and 2 points for the conclusion. If your essay looks similar to mine below, you will do well on it. Example: Topic Sentence: I like dogs better than cats because they are friendly, like to play, and encourage exercise. Reasons: There are not many dogs our there that aren’t friendly. Typically when I come home, my dog is very excited to see me! Dogs are often seen playing, which means they will be a fun pet to have! Kids and dogs can play together! Also, dogs need lots of walking and exercise. If you have a dog you will need to walk them to keep them healthy, so it encourages you to exercise. Conclusion: Overall, I like dogs better than cats because they can help you live a happy, healthy life.
