Personnel Requirements Each maritime Member of WMO should appoint PMOs having maritime experience, at its main ports. His maritime experience enables him to communicate effectively with the ship’s master and other officers. He should also have experience in, and knowledge of, meteorology, theoretical as well as practical. The necessary training of PMOs is described in the Manual on MMS, Part IV, Section 3. 21/09/2018
