9.29.17 Uniform Expectations

Starting on Monday, October 2nd all students will need to be in Full uniform.

All students may wear the following uniform items: Shirts All students may wear the following uniform items: Polo Shirt - short or long sleeve maroon, black or white polo shirt with the New Heights logo Oxford Shirt - white oxford shirt with the New Heights logo Undershirts - a solid black, white or maroon shirt may be worn underneath polo shirts

All students may wear the following uniform items: Pants All students may wear the following uniform items: Khaki colored (tan): Dress pants Knee-length (or longer) shorts Knee-length (or longer) skirts Khaki pants, shorts, or skirts may not be: Cargo-style (defined as more than two front pockets and two back pockets) Baggy, overly tight or made of denim or corduroy

All students may wear the following uniform items: Outerwear All students may wear the following uniform items: Sweaters: Black V-neck with school logo Black cardigan sweater with school logo Maroon crewneck sweatshirt with school logo A black, burgundy or white polo with the school logo must be worn underneath New Heights Fleece (without a hood)

All students may wear the following uniform items: Footwear All students may wear the following uniform items: Sneakers/Dress Shoes - Black, white or black & white dress shoes, sneakers or closed toed shoes Shoes must be 100% black or white (other colors are not permitted) Shoes must be closed toed (no sandals, slip-ons, or flip flops)

All students may wear the following uniform items: Accessories All students may wear the following uniform items: Hair accessories – solid black maroon or white headbands No Hats No bandanas of any kind Headscarves may be of any color & pattern Bowties/Ties - solid black, maroon or white only Belts - solid black or brown with no large embellishments or buckles Socks/Tights - solid black, maroon or white tights & socks

Spirit Fridays All students that are college prep or college ready may wear the following uniform items: Khaki colored (tan): Dress pants Knee-length (or longer) shorts Knee-length (or longer) skirts Spirit T-shirts & Outerwear: College T-shirts New Heights T-shirts New Heights Zip-up hoodies

The following items are permitted only under the following conditions: Hooded zip-sweatshirts with school logo Only allowed as outerwear to and from school and earned dress down days. Maroon Sweatpants Only allowed during Health & Wellness, earned dress down day, and after school activities T-shirts with school logo Maroon Gym Shorts with school logo Only allowed during Health & Wellness Days that these uniform items are permitted for Health & Wellness class will be communicated to students in advance. During all other Health & Wellness classes student should be in the standard uniform.

Just like teachers and visitors all students must wear their orange New heights lanyard during the school day.

The New Heights uniform also includes students bracelets & lanyards. Teachers will be checking uniforms every morning during uniform check in AM Advisory. The New Heights uniform also includes students bracelets & lanyards. These items are necessary to be fully prepared for school each day. If you forget your bracelet or lanyard: Demerit (-1) for each item If you lose your bracelet or lanyard: Demerit (-5) for each item $3. 00 to replace
