Retail is                                                                                                                                            Ensuring merchandising product is consistent with both the consumers’ needs and the company brand it represents Target is an upscale discounter with focus on the hottest trend merchandise and the everyday basics all families need. Its combined emphasis on style, quality, affordability, and clean, attractive stores makes it a one-of-a-kind retailer.                                                     Give an example of items that are consistent with the consumer needs and the brand. Target Corporation is the second largest general merchandise retailer Target Corporation employs 305,000 team members Target – 245,000 Marshall Fields – 26,000 Mervyn’s – 33,000 Other – 25,000 Target Corporation operates 1,517 stores Target - 1,189 stores Marshall Fields - 62 stores Mervyn’s – 266 stores Target Corporation operates in 47 states

benefits The Competitive annual bonus program Best 401K program in retail Tuition Reimbursement program Comprehensive medical and dental coverage plans Depending on how each department and division performs, each Business Analyst has the potential to earn up to a $4,000 bonus. In order to receive the bonus you must meet individual performance criteria and be a Target Corporation team member at the time of pay out. As you are promoted from one position to the next, the eligibility will increase: Buyer/Manager(1st level), $8,000; Buyer/Manager(2nd level), $12,000; Buyer/Manager (3rd level), $16,000; Sr. Buyers run off of a different program, up to 50% of salary. Best 401K in Retail - after 1,000 hours of work you can deposit from 1% to 20% of your paycheck into the TGT 401(k) either before and/or after taxes. You have a choice of 12 investment funds. TGT will match your deposits, dollar for dollar, up to 5% of your pay and invest it in Target Corporation Stock. And much, much more: dependent life insurance, 10 days of vacation (first 5 years), 6 paid national holidays, life insurance, 3 personal holidays (first 5 years), STD, LTD, legal services, adoption assistance reimbursement, cross company discount, pension, a credit union, dependent-care spending account, automobile and homeowner’s/renter’s insurance through payroll deduction, home loan program, cell phone service, relocation assistance, and computer discounts.

College grads usually spend an average of 18-24 months as a Business Analyst, 18-24 months as a Sr. Business Analyst, 18-24 months as a Manager/Buyer and then either move to the Buyer 2nd level position or get promoted to a Manager.
