Parallel and Perpendicular Lines LOFT: To recognise parallel and perpendicular lines.

What are parallel lines? They are two lines on a surface that never meet. They are always the same distance apart.

What is a Perpendicular Line? This is when a line is at exactly 90 degrees to another line. 90 degrees!

Quick Task: Which of these shapes are parallel, perpendicular or neither?

Your Task: Take a full page in you Maths book and turn it landscape Parallel = Perpendicular = Take a full page in you Maths book and turn it landscape Draw out the grid and fill in the missing questions.
