No marking to indicate the Change Index is required. Example how Change Index and Approval Mark works in case of Series of Amendment and Supplement The amendment level of each device’s requirements is managed and recorded by the Change Index. The Change Index only needs to be updated when a new Series of Amendment is introduced. (not by a Supplement or Corrigendum) No marking to indicate the Change Index is required. In the case of a New Type Approval, even though the device which is amended stringently isn’t contained, the latest Series number always needs to be indicated. In case of the Extension of Approval, the Transitional Provision is a key trigger of required action as the present situation. In case of the general Extension of Approval to modify a device within the same device definition (change of light source color, etc.), not for the regulation amendment but for the own internal reason, no modification of the approval mark is required, even if the following Series of Amendment has been already entered into force, as the present situation.
