Roman Achievements

The Roman Achievement Roman civilizations had a large impact from the blending of Greek and Hellenistic cultures. (art, literature, philosophy, and science)

Roman Art sculptors captured realism and an individual’s character. Roman art also included mosaics. Mosaics are pictures made from chips of colored stone or glass

Roman Architecture Immense palaces, temples, and stadiums. The Romans emphasized grandeur. They also invented the rounded dome.

Technology and Science Romans excelled in engineering, which is the application of science and mathematics to develop useful structures and machines. Built roads, bridges, and harbors throughout the empire.
