Buddhism A Buddhist church is called a temple. Developed in India, 2500 years ago by a man named Siddattha Gotama. Today 365 million (6%) of world population follow Buddhism. One fundamental belief of Buddhism is often referred to as reincarnation. “Buddha” means the enlightened one. If you reach the enlightened state you attain Nirvana.

Samurai- a class of Japanese warriors similar to the knights of Europe Samurai practiced Bushido which was influenced by Zen Buddhism Samurai do NOT fear danger because they do not fear death (because they believe in reincarnation) They are loyal to the Emperor, feudal landlords and higher ranking Samurai. Dishonesty, cheating and deceit are looked down upon. They showed no outward signs of pain and anguish.
