Community Project

The Elks National Foundation's Community Investments Program invests $6.5 million in Elks communities through Lodge grants. To start serving your community, apply for a Community Investment Program grant.

Starting July 1, 2012 every Lodge will be eligible Beacon Grants Starting July 1, 2012 every Lodge will be eligible to apply for a $1,000 Beacon Grant. Offers Lodges opportunity to develop an on-going charitable Elk-driven community project. Goal is to raise a Lodge’s profile and energize current, former and prospective members.

Beacon and Gratitude Grants A Lodge can use its $1,000 Beacon Grant in conjunction with a $2,000 Gratitude Grant. Gratitude Grants offer an opportunity for Elks to think about how best to serve their community. It’s ENF’s way of saying “thank you” to every Lodge that meets the National President’s per-member goal for giving to the ENF.

Promise and Impact Grants Promise Grants are $2,000 grants available to the first 500 Lodges that apply to hold a youth event. Impact Grants are competitive grants of up to $10,000 designed to help Lodges make a visible, significant and ongoing difference in their communities.

Community Project Activity Ideas

Public Relations

Public Relations = Public Education A Primary Lodge Objective: Enhance Member and public confidence in our purposes and programs. Why is this important? Need to dispel how Elks may be “perceived” by making citizens aware of how much Lodges contribute to their local communities. Perception = Reality Reality = Membership Growth
