MetroPlan Orlando is the metropolitan planning organization for the Orlando urban area. Established through federal and state statutes, our primary responsibility is to allocate federal and state transportation dollars in 3 counties in Central Florida. We work with each county government, our 22 municipalities, other transportation agencies, the state Department of Transportation, and the US Department of Transportation to advance our mission

We are one of the country’s fastest growing areas with 2 million residents--300,000 are new in just the last 6 years. We are home to both Disney World and Universal Studios. These theme parks and other attractions brought 68 million tourists to our 3 counties last year. And on average, our daily population swells by 550,000 people. A couple of years ago, leadership at MetroPlan Orlando realized that our health activities could be bigger. Our demographics and growth offer the opportunities. But also, we see this as simply the right thing to do.

Corrine Drive Study A pedestrian/biker-friendly area that makes visiting destinations on the street a pleasure rather than an ordeal to be endured.  A place I can walk or bike to and around without fear of injury or death. A place where I can walk from shop to shop, eat a bite, grab a drink and take a rest on a shaded park bench outside, my kids playing on a playground or kicking a ball on a grassy area.
