FAMILY CONFLICT CREATED BY ERIN STANGO

Examples of family conflicts SIBLING RIVALRY – IS JEALOUSY, COMPETITION BETWEEN BROTHERS OR SISTERS. DEVORCE – IS THE LEGAL TERMANATION OF A MARRIAGE CHILD ABUSE - happens when a parent or other adult causes serious physical or emotional harm to a child

What can cause sibling rivalry? Some things that can cause this is: Each child is competing to define who they are as an individual. As they DISCOVER WHO THEY ARE, THEY TRY TO FIND THEIR OWN TALENTS, ACTITIVES, AND INTERESTS. THEY WANT TO SHOW THAT THEY ARE SEPRATE FROM THEIR SIBLING. CHILDREN FEEL LIKE THEY’RE GETTING UNEQUAL ATTEMTION, DISIPLINE, AND RESPONSIVENESS CHILDREN MAY FEEL THEIR RELATIONSHIP WITH THEIR PAARENTS IS THREANTENED BY THE ARRIVAL OF A NEW BABY.

WHAT CAN CAUSE Divorce? CHEATING DISHONESTY ABUSE MAJOR CHANGES IN PRIORITIES

WHAT CAN CAUSE CHILD ABUSE? Stresses of child care Lack of parenting knowledge Difficulty in relationships Depression or other mental heath problems Drug or alcohol problems

Some resolutions for these problems are: sibling rivalry – tell a parent about the problem Divorce – go to a counselor or maybe talk to one of your parents about it Child abuse – call the police or go to a close relative

why did I chose family conflicts? i chose family conflict because I had a lot of family conflicts with my parents and sibling. I was wondering what can cause these conflicts and what can I do to stop them.

one family conflict that happened in my family is: my dad thought my mom was cheating on him(she wasn’t). So one night my dad comes home drunk and starts to yell at her then he goes upstairs punches the wall and threw me and my sisters doll house down the stairs. After he went down stairs, pushed the microwave on the floor. Lastly he grabbed his keys and drove away. But the next day they made up and everything wwas fine.
