Evidence- Based Practice Erin Schnirel March and April 2017 Outcome: School library media specialists will be able to use evidence to inform instruction and to demonstrate the value and impact of their program and professional practices on student learning.

2nd Grade-Award Winning Books Essential Questions • What elements of a book should earn recognition for an award? • What qualities do award winning books possess? • What qualities does a good author or illustrator possess?

Black-eyed Susan and March Madness We read two books each week while evaluating the books we will vote on a personal and class winner for that round of the tournament. Finally the students and class will choose a Champion book. Voting occurs on-line at the end of the tournament. 8 Black-Eyed Susan Books seeded Lyons Mill Elementary School
