Framework for Interoperable Systems APL Proprietary- Not for dissemination KTAP uses a comprehensive systems engineering approach that responds to practitioners’ needs People Framework for Interoperable Systems Scientists Engineers Processes The overall approach is based on our “Systems Engineering” approach in which we use some of our most experienced scientist and engineers and compliment them (actually ground them – smile), with subject matter experts who have extensive operational/real world experience. And – because we have the practitioners working on the projects with the engineers and scientists, we never lose sight of the “whole system” which is the people, who then use processes and then technology. The is core reason why our projects under the S and T KTAP Program are experiencing such great success (i.e., CIIMS). End-Users Technology

The Knowledge Transition Advancement Project (KTAP) Committed to accelerating the delivery of enhanced capabilities to meet requirements and fill capability gaps Providing leadership, research and educational opportunities Employing a practitioner-driven approach Using a systems engineering approach Note, these are benefits “to S & T”
