Cancer Awareness and Pharmacies Given current and predicted trends ensuring clear cancer awareness messages delivered via multiple professionals is important to ensure earlier diagnosis of cancer occurs Pharmacies play a crucial role in delivery information and support on lifestyle issues Surveys have revealed members of the public welcome information and support on lifestyle issues Pharmacies seem like a good place to reach people who arent registered with a GP, have difficulty getting an appointment or are less willing to talk to there GP. 438 million visist a pharmacy every year far greater than visits to the GP Friday, September 21, 2018 View <Headers and Footers> to alter this text

Access to CRUK resources, advice and guidance Joining up local cancer activities = maximise impact. Fulfils contractual role of cancer messaging in pharmacies Support Healthy Living Pharmacy programme Working collaboratively with LA Public Health Dept.
