About Mrs. Skalak I grew up in Orono, Maine I graduated from The Colorado College Teaching degree from UW Masters in Education from Lesley University Teaching Career in Issaquah S.D. since 1992.

Independent Reading Ongoing homework to read about 20 minutes each night. We start each day with a 5 minute Silent Reading Time Students will use the Notice and Note Signposts for close reading of their novel. We will have several “Book chats” with the librarian, Mr. Fleming.
