2001 GOES-8/GOES-10/SURFRAD 2004 GOES-10/SURFRAD LST OBSERVATION CLR SKY DETECTION: Ming vs. Rama vs. Chuck Figure 1 from (Vinnikov et al., 2008) is reproduced using Ming Chen Clear Sky data. http://www.atmos.umd.edu/~kostya/Pdf/Vinnikov_et_al_GRL_2008.pdf We use indices: S or 1 – for SURFRAD LST G8 or 2 – for GOES-8 LST G10 or 3 - for GOES-10 LST Function Y(t), used to approximate diurnal and seasonal variations of LST, contains two first harmonics of annual and two first harmonics of diurnal cycles.
