The Last Supper

What is Maundy Thursday? Maundy is a Latin name which means ‘Commandment’ Jesus gave his friends a new commandment “Love one other as I have loved you” Jesus gave this commandment whilst he washed the feet of his disciples.

The Last Supper Why is it called the Last Supper? Who was there with Jesus? Why did Jesus wash the feet of the disciples? What did Jesus say and do at the Supper? What was the role of Judas?

What is Passover? The first Passover happened when Moses was alive, several hundred years before Jesus was born. In the first Passover, God saves his people. Many Jewish people today still celebrate and remember Passover with a Seder Meal.

What is a Seder Meal? A Seder meal is a holiday meal which actually means ‘order’. It is called this because the meal is eaten in a certain order, which takes Jewish people from slavery to freedom.

So, what is in a Seder Meal?
