Ring gears used in designing flywheel assemblies can be either 14.288 mm (0.5625”) or 15.875 mm (0.625”) thickness. Flywheels shall be designed for both wet and dry applications and meet SAE J542 guidelines.

Application Engineering will transition existing customers from 10/12 pitch to 8/10 pitch starters and flywheels. Transition period lasts from present to 2007.
