Annelids Segmented Worms

Annelids Segmented worms- have tube shaped bodies which are divided into many little sections Are found in fresh water, salt water or moist soil Have a body cavity that holds their organs and bristle like structures on the outside of each segment

Setae Bristle like structures on the outside of each body segment that help the worms move

Earthworms An earthworm’s body is composed of more than 100 segments Each segment has four pairs of setae which help them move through the soil They eat soil, the organic matter is broken down and nutrients are absorbed into the blood

Leeches Leeches are parasites which feed on ducks, fish and even humans They have two suckers one at each end of their body and are used to attach to an animal It cuts flesh and sucks out two to ten times its weight in blood
