¡¿What the Fahrenheit!? El 20 de abril

Para Empezar Write 3 original sentences about the weather today!

¿Por qué? Every country in the world uses Celsius as the official temperature scale EXCEPT the United States, Belize, Palau, the British Territories, and the Cayman Islands It is part of the metric system The metric system is based on multiples of 10 The metric system was deemed the international standard of measurement in 1875!

Celsius  Fahrenheit There are a few steps you should follow when converting from Celsius to Fahrenheit: Multiply degrees (in Celsius) by 1.8 Add 32 Ejemplo: Multiply by 1.8: 30C x 1.8 = 54 Add 32: 54 +32 = 86F

Fahrenheit  Celsius When converting from Fahrenheit to Celsius: Subtract 32 from degrees (in Fahrenheit) Divide by 1.8 Ejemplo: Subtract 32: 86F – 32 = 54 Add 32: 54  1.8 = 30C

Puntas de memoria When you convert TO Fahrenheit, you will be making the number LARGER  Therefore, you will multiply and add. When you convert TO Celsius, you will be making the number SMALLER  Therefore, you will subtract and divide.
