For the online application and additional details, visit The SURE Experience 2018: Apply Now If you are an undergraduate science student who wants to further explore biomedical research, the SURE Program is for you! Outstanding faculty mentors from departments/programs across the School of Medicine oversee research in diverse areas of cell, molecular and systems biology. The program provides students with a dynamic view into multiple career paths available in the field. Students will present their work in a research forum at the conclusion of the summer program. Wayne State University School of Medicine Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) Wayne State University is classified a “University of very high research activity” by the Carnegie Foundation in recognition of its broad range of baccalaureate programs, commitment to graduate education, and strong research emphasis. The mission of the Wayne State University School of Medicine is to educate a diverse student body in an urban setting within a culture of inclusion through high-quality education, clinical excellence, pioneering research, local investment in our community, and innovative technology to prepare physicians and biomedical scientific leaders to achieve health and wellness of our society.
