Language Arts Block 90 minutes of Language Arts The Big Five: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency , Vocabulary, Comprehension Whole group, small groups, centers

Assessments DIBELS: K-3, selected 4th and 5th graders in September, January, May Palm Pilot Program Literacy Leadership Team Meetings will follow each administration of DIBELS Data Folder is forthcoming with DIBELS results 2006-2007 year

Assessments Interim Tests for 3rd, 4th, & 5th Simulations HM Weekly Skills Test, Integrated Theme Test on EDUSOFT FCAT SAT 10

Writing 30 minute Writing block in addition to the 90 minute Language Arts Block Can be integrated with Science and Social Studies Must be Implemented Professional Development is forthcoming
