The Art of Eye Contact in Public Speaking By Matthew Madej and Kenzie Abenhaim

Reasons to Use Eye contact By making eye contact it allows for clearer think because your brain is not as likely to be distracted

It Makes You the Boss When failing to make eye contact negatively impacts your ability to look like an authority on the subject

The Audience Loves Your Eyes When the speaker fails to make eye contact with the audience, the audience will stop listening

Your Eyes Are Inviting When the audience sees you looking at them they are invited to listen and participate

Slows Down the Speech When you make eye contact with the audience it will slow down your speech

Prolonged eye contact can create an awkward moment between the speaker and the audience Avoid at All Costs

Avoid Avoiding By not making making eye contact you disconnect your self from the audience. This stops them from listening proactively
