Artist Anthony Huonder creates his pieces by throwing them on the wheel and then adding and subtracting the clay.

Joanna Buyert’s work includes many different textures Joanna Buyert’s work includes many different textures. Subtle textures can be just as successful as exaggerated texture.

Think about the shape of the vase by looking at Mata Ortiz Pottery.

Or the shape of vases from the Ming Dynasty.

Think about what texture to add and how you can create that texture or pattern.

You will need to bring your own texture in You will need to bring your own texture in. Things from nature, different objects or tools, fabrics etc. Please see me if you need help with this.

How do you plan to make your project. Coil, slab, potters wheel How do you plan to make your project? Coil, slab, potters wheel? A combination? When will you add the texture? How will you get the vase tall enough. How can you glaze the piece to compliment your texture?
