“Land of the midnight sun” Arctic weather “Land of the midnight sun” The sun shines 24 hours a day in summer

Where is the arctic? “the top of the world” Area all around the North Pole People have walked there? But they didn’t walk on land! So how did they get there?

- 30 degrees in winter( October to March) In total darkness like this

Summer 24 hours of sunshine But still only about 0 degrees. Not warm in summer We need to be wrapped up like this------------------------- smiling

Icebergs Huge blocks of glaciers stick out into the sea from land. Water crashing against it makes it break off and float out into the sea. The tip is seen above the water. The part under the water is ?? times bigger Star for the table that remembers

Icebergs Most icebergs in the Arctic have broken off from Greenland. Have a look at this in your book! 1/10 9/10 What ship sank after hitting an iceberg?
