HER LIFE MARY SHELLEY, A WRITER, WAS BORN IN LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM ON 30TH AUGUST 1797, SHE DIED IN LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM ON 1ST FEBRUARY 1851. MARY SHELLEY WAS A NARRATOR, DRAMATIST, ESSAYIST, PHILOSOPHER AND BIOGRAPHER. THEIR PARENTS WERE WILLIAM GODWIN (POLITICAL PHILOSOPHER) AND MARY WOLLSTONECRAFT (FEMINIST PHILOSOPHIST).

PERCY'S FIRST WIFE COMMITTED SUICIDE AND IN 1816 MARRIED MARY. HIS HUSBAND PERCY BUSSHE SHELLEY WAS A ROMANTIC POET AND PHILOSOPHER. THEY LOST TWO CHILDREN IN 1816, MARY AND PERCY SPENT A SUMMER TOGETHER WITH LORD BYRON, JOHN POLIDORI AND CLAIRE CLAIRMONT NEAR GENEVA WHERE MARY CONCEIVED THE IDEA OF FRANKENSTEIN. IN 1822 PERCY DIED BY DROWNING.

FRANKENSTEIN UP TO THE DECADE OF 1970, MARY SHELLEY WAS MOSTLY RECOGNIZED FOR HER EFFORTS TO PUBLISH PERCY SHELLEY`S WRITINGS AND HER NOVEL FRANKENSTEIN. MARY SHELLEY DIED FROM A BRAIN TUMOR.
