ORGANIZATION BODIES AUTHORITIES PURPOSES COMMITTEE – SECRETARIAT – CIALA ARGENTINA BRAZIL CHILE COLOMBIA CUBA ECUADOR MEXICO PANAMA PERU URUGUAY VENEZUELA BOLIVIA HONDURAS AUTHORITIES ESTABLISH AN EFFECTIVE REGIONAL AGREEMENT ON SHIP CONTROL MAINTAIN AN EFFICIENT AND HARMONIZED INSPECTION SYSTEM PREVENT DISCRIMINATION OR DIFFERENT TREATMENTAMONG PORTS PURPOSES

COMMITTMENTS BY THE AUTHORITIES MAINTENANCE OF AN EFFICIENT SYSTEM TO GUARANTEE - WITHOUT DISCRIMINATION AS TO FLAG - THAT FOREIGN VESSELS VOLUNTARILY VISITING PORTS OF THEIR STATES COMPLY WITH THE RULES SET FORTH IN THE PERTINENT INSTRUMENTS. A MINIMUM OF 15% OF DIFFERENT FOREIGN VESSELS INSPECTED (20% AT PRESENT AND PLANNED TO BE 25%). CO-OPERATION AND INFORMATION EXCHANGE AMONG MARITIME AUTHORITIES.

OPERATIONAL FRAMEWOFK OPERATIONAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT TO ERRADICATE SUBSTANDARD SHIPS, WITHOUT FAILING TO OBSERVE THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS INCLUDED IN INTERNATIONAL CONVENTIONS. OBJECTIVES INTERTANKO MARITIME AUTHORITIES SAFE TRANSPORT SAFETY OF NAVIGATION CLEANER SEAS MARINE ENVIRONMENT PROTECTION FREE COMPETITION MARITIME SECURITY. FACILITATION OF TRANSPORT AND TRADE BY WATER PORT STATE CONTROL: Activity to be developed and implemented efficiently by Maritime Authorities in order to achieve their goals.
