Today’s Lesson: Hammurabi’s Code What is the best way to organize a society?

Answer The Opening Questions: What is a law? Why do we have laws? What is one law that has helped to protect you, your family, or your friends? What is one law that you think is unfair and might have affected you, your family, or your friends?

Who Was Hammurabi? Hammurabi was the king of Babylonia. An ancient empire in Mesopotamia. The city of Babylon was the capitol of this empire. Hammurabi is believed to have reigned during the 18th century BC (1800 BC to 1701 BC)
