myHealthPartners

Creating a myHealthPartners account The next section will take you through how to create a myHealthPartners account.

Create an account To create an account, visit healthpartners.com and click Sign up.

Create an account For members For patients For both You’ll be asked to choose a path for creating your account. If you’re a member, choose the first option. If you’re a patient (you go to HealthPartners clinics), choose the second option. If you’re both, choose the third option.

Create an account Enter your 8-digit member ID number and date of birth. Then, choose whether you’d like to verify your identity online (takes 5-7 minutes) or via U.S. mail (takes about one week)

Create an account If you choose to verify your identity online you’ll answer questions from Experian, an independent fraud prevention service. If you start down this path, and change your mind, you can instead select the option to Verify my identity another way, and have a code sent to you in the mail.

Create an account Create your username and password, and select three security questions to answer. The security questions will be used if you forget your password.

Create an account Your account is now created!

Exploring your myHealthPartners account Now, we’ll walk through what your account can do for you.

Home There are six tabs that you see when you log on. Here’s a look at your homepage. In the top left corner, you’ll see the My activity timeline. This allows you to view past and upcoming care (appointments, hospital stay, lab work), see preventive care reminders and more. You will only see upcoming appointment information if you use HealthPartners medical or dental clinics, but the past care will show up for any location once a claim is received. This can be helpful if you forget the last time you went in for your annual preventive care visit with your primary care doctor. The homepage also provides quick access to other convenient features including the ability to search for care, access your favorite doctors, view your plan balances at a glance and chat with Member Services. If you’re a patient, you’ll also see health information on the home tab.

Find care There are two or three options to choose from when you want to find care. The first option is called HealthPartners clinics. You’ll see this option if you use HealthPartners clinics. It provides a search specific to these clinics. The second option provides the ability to search for care in your network. Here you can search for care by name, clinic, or condition. The third option provides the opportunity for you to compare costs by procedure. Later, you’ll see an example of what you see when you use this option.

Find care Choose to search for a doctor in your zip code that can do a specific procedure, for example - ear tube insertion. You’ll see a list all the doctors in your network that can do this. You can get an estimated cost for this procedure based on past claims and your benefits. This is an estimate but it’s a good estimate of what you’ll pay. Cost estimates are available for nearly 300 treatments and procedures, including: • Biopsies • CT scans, X-rays and MRIs • Delivering a baby • Physical therapy • Joint replacements There are a few more ways to narrow your search. Select whether you’d like to see a male or female, have your doctor speak a certain language, etc. If you click on the provider you can see if they are accepting patients, which clinics they work out of and what hospital they’re affiliated with. By checking the Compare box, you can also select up to three providers to compare side-by-side.

Compare results When comparing doctors side-by-side, you can see how the cost varies depending on location and provider. You can also save a doctor as a favorite, which makes them easy to find in the future.

Health records If you go to HealthPartners medical or dental clinics, the health records tab is a big help. With this page you can: Check tests results (this is the most commonly used feature) Make appointments View upcoming appointments Pay medical or dental bills Consult with your doctor via email View care reminders See prescriptions See letters from your doctor Check on your blood pressure, weight and height over time with the ‘Your vital sign history’ button View past visit summaries for medical or dental appointments Note for sales: This tab does not show up for national users. This tab will show up for regional member who are not patients at our clinics. There will be marketing message about making the switch to HealthPartners Clinics.

Pharmacy Get information on your pharmacy benefits in one spot. Search the formulary to see if your medications are covered View your pharmacy benefits and claims Refill a prescription with your HealthPartners pharmacy or mail order or, if you don’t use HealthPartners pharmacies, you can search for another pharmacy near you. Check the cost of your medicine with the Drug Cost Calculator

Calculate my prescription costs Use the drug cost calculator to compare the cost of your medicine. You can compare quantity and locations to determine where you should go. In this example you can see the medicine is a varies in price between CVS, Walgreens and Target. When thinking about your HSA, this tool can be helpful. The plan share plus your cost will be your total out of pocket cost on the HSA.

My plan On the My plan tab you’ll find important information specific to your plan. You can get your ID card, see what’s covered and check your spending down below. You can also access your benefits and coverage under the “I want to” drop down menu. Click Medical policies (coverage criteria) to learn more about how medical equipment or certain procedures will apply towards your benefits.

My plan CDHP view On the My plan tab you’ll find important information specific to your plan. You can view your spending, including your deductible and out of pocket max. You’ll also see recent claims and get access to your Explanation of Benefits.

Coverage criteria policies Use the coverage criteria search bar to look up various procedures or medical equipment and find out if they’ll be covered. Once you select your procedure, HealthPartners provides you with what services will be covered and what won’t be covered. Some services also require a prior authorization before they will be covered. This may mean that certain criteria needs to be met before we would approve that service to be covered under your benefits.

My claims If you click the My plan tab, you’ll see the My claims page. Here, you can view your plan deductibles and out-of-pocket balances and learn how to use your EOBs. You can also use this page to review claim details such as date of service, provider name and cost of service. You’re able to view claims from the last 10 years.

My claims CDHP view If you click Claims/EOBs on the My plan tab, you’ll see the My claims page. You will see your responsibility, as well as the total cost of service on the right hand side. Here, you can view your plan deductibles and out-of-pocket balances and learn how to use your EOBs. You can also use this page to review claim details such as date of service, provider name and cost of service. You’re able to view claims back 10 years.

Well-being The well-being tab offers tools for you to take charge of your health. If you have well-being through HealthPartners, you’ll see a link to your health assessment and well-being activities. Use the Keys to a better lifestyle option for tips on eating well, exercising and being tobacco free. Additionally, as a HealthPartners member, you have access to various healthy discounts for things like eyewear, fitness classes, and healthy mom and baby. Use this page to see what discounts are available and how to use them, by clicking View all Healthy Discounts on the right-hand side.

Healthy DiscountsSM On this page, you’ll see a variety of discounts available to you, click on each link to learn more. One additional resource for your health and well-being is Virtual coaching, which you’ll see a link for on the right.

Virtual coaching There are eight virtual coaching topics available. Each one takes about 15-20 minutes and allows you to watch, listen and interact online. Topics vary from stress to sleep to quitting smoking.
