When was the product invented? The product was invented in 1874 They were made from large cricket pads to protect the front of the leg.

Who invented the product? Shin guards were first used by a soccer team called Nottingham Forest in Nottingham in the U.K. They call the game football

What materials were originally used to make this product? Fiberglass. Stiff, sturdy and light weight materials. Wood.

What improvements have been made over the years? They have added soft foam rubber. Polyurethane plastic

Why were these improvements made? They were hurting the players while playing. Many people were complaining . They wanted the shin guards to be more light weight.

Who uses this product? SOCCER PLAYERS CRICKET PLAYERS and more! (:

If I could change the product.. I would change the cushion on the shin part so it will hurt less. The Velcro that is used to strap the shin guard on your leg. I would make it sticky so it would stay on your leg while running.

Human impacts of the product….. Less people get hurt now. They are now more colorful and catch the human eye.
