Academics Now is not the time to relax in your student’s academic progress. GPA is calculated to the end of the year. You may request more than one transcript be sent at various points of the year to the same college/university. We are going to try Parchment. It is important to request your ACT scores be sent to the colleges of your choice when you register for the ACT. Some schools are now requiring official scores directly from ACT which will cost you more in the long run. Taking the ACT additional times to improve your score may increase the amount of financial award your student receives.
Parchment ODE pays for this service for high schools in Ohio. Current high school students do NOT have to pay anything for transcripts through this system. Once it is up and running, students will receive account information. Transcripts will be uploaded to Parchment. Students can make transcript requests through their accounts, and Guidance can send them electronically. Hopefully this makes the process more time efficient for everyone.
Make a positive impact! Encourage students to get involved and participate this year. Use social media to spread positive! Colleges and employers do look at social media. Make good connections that will last!
