DEFINITION ORGANIZATION IS O FORM OF COOPERATION BETWEEN A GROUP OF PEOPLE IN ORDER TO ACHIEVE A COLLECTIVE OBJECTIVE (PRAJUDI ATMOSUDIRDJO) Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI

TYPES OF ORGANIZATION LINE ORGANIZATION STAFF ORGANIZATION LINE AND STAFF ORGANIZATION FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION COMMITTEE ORGANIZATION Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI

TYPES OF ORGANIZATION 1. LINE ORGANIZATION: usually use in a small organization. Authority acts as the top manager and commands all subordinate tasks 2. STAF ORGANIZATION: the function of staff is to give advice, in practice there isn’t any pure staff organization 3. LINE AND STAFF ORGANIZATION: consider as the best organization. It has a straight line co- ordination from the top manager to the lowest one, and also there is a co-ordination with the staff as adviser or expert Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI

continue….. 4 FUNCTIONAL ORGANIZATION: this kind of organization doesn’t emphasize to a strict hierarchical structure. Its composition based on the type of job/expertise and specific activity 5. CHARACTERISTIC OF INDONESIA SAO TERRITORY ORGANIZATION: as an organization, the state is bounded by a certain region which is the jurisdiction of the organization (grondgebied) FUNGTIONAL: as an organization, the state is bounded by a certain function or duty related to functional (zakengebied) and certain people (personnengebied) Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI

FUNCTION 1. MINISTER: top administrator of a ministry assists the president in his or her sector 2. COORDINATOR MINISTER: assists the president to coordinate the planning, policy structuring and synchronizing the implementation all government policy 3. FUNCTION OF MINISTER ASSISTANTS 1. SECRETARIAT GENERAL : organize the administration and technical services for all units and divisions of the ministry. Consists of: bureaus, divisions, and subdivisions 2. DIRECTORATE GENERAL: organize the implementation of the main task of the ministry. Consists of: directorate, sub directorates, sections Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI

continue….. 3. INSPECTORATE GENERAL: supervise and control the implementation of all components of the ministry tasks 4. EXPERT STAFF: analyze specific problems within the ministry 5. CENTER: implement tasks which can not be done by other bodies of the ministry Faculty of Law UI-SRI MAMUDJI
