Johannes Schmid et al. JACC 2018;71:1540-1549 Cardiac Troponin T and Troponin I Levels in Patients With Skeletal Muscle Disease at Baseline and 1 Year Cardiac troponin T (cTnT) levels were elevated in a large proportion of patients with skeletal muscle disease, whereas cardiac troponin I (cTnI) levels were normal in the majority of patients. A scatterplot (logarithmic scale) of cTnT and cTnI levels at the first visit and after 1 year is presented. The 2 cardiac troponin measurements in individual patients are connected by solid lines; assay cutoffs are shown as dashed lines (26 ng/l for cTnI and 14 ng/l for cTnT). At the first visit, 68.9% had raised cTnT levels, and 4.1% had raised cTnI levels (see also contingency table in Online Table 3). Johannes Schmid et al. JACC 2018;71:1540-1549 2018 The Authors
