Take photos of your local area (or get them from the internet if you do not have access to a camera) and arrange them in order from ‘safe’ to ‘less safe’ on the next page. You can also come to homework club if you need a computer. DO NOT DRAW THE PICTURES! The photos should concentrate on built environments, not on people. Ideas to get you started: Centrale shopping centre, Croydon Your local street West Croydon bus station You house Write a sentence or two next to each one explaining why you have put it where you have. Cut out the articles (at least 5) and stick them onto the next page. Explain in sentences what penalty you think each crime should get. For example – life in prison, 10 years in prison, a money fine. Make sure you justify WHY you think that. Why should one get life in prison and another get just a money fine?
