WEBINAR “Automation of document generation and document processing with AutoMerge” Atlanta, 10/21/2013 Clint Higley I would like to welcome everyone to MSCRM addons.com first webinar. My name is Clint Higley and I am the technical support lead for MScrm addons US. This office covers support & service for the US, Canada, Mexico and south America. What I am presenting today is a more technical in-depth look at our addon Automerge. The AutoMerge addon extends the available commands within workflows and dialogs giving you and your users a simple and powerful way to automate the generation and processing of documents within CRM. Following this 20 to 25 minute presentation we’ll have a question and answer session. I would like to encourage you to type your question in the question and answer box as we move through the presentation. You’ll find the Q&A button on the top left of the presentation screen.

How AutoMerge Works An event inside CRM occours ( new contact, quote, lead… is created, a record is updated, delted..) or an „On-Demand“ Process is initiated by a user. A workflow or dialog gets started by MS CRM. Inside the process, AutoMerge provides commands to generate documents in different file formats and save them back to CRM. Next to document generation, AutoMerge provides several additional workflow-steps to process the document in the background. (Attach document to emial, send document to a printer, simply save the document to a SharePoint,…) 1 So how does AM work? This process flow can be broken down to 4 major steps. First we have an CRM - event or an On-demand process triggered by a user. This could be the creation of a new contact, the updating of a record or just a workflow that is selected to be run on demand on a specific record. In step 2 CRM starts to run a process in the background or in case of dialogs with user-interaction. - This is actually where AutoMerge and document creation come into play.- Because within this process – marked by step #3, AM provides commands to generate the Documents in several different file formats and save them back to CRM! So this is where the action takes place. Furthermore , marked by step 4 AutoMErge provides several options to process the generated document. For example: saving it to sharepoint, attaching it to and email and sending the mail or to print the document to a local printer. All of that inside the CRM-process. 4 2 3

Meeting Business requirements (Application examples) Getting from a quote in CRM to an email with a quote-document attached as a pdf with 3 clicks. Send generated document to a local printer (Automated printing) Google Cloud Printing ( allows e.g. to send the document to my Android Device ) So now that we understand what happens during the automerge process lets show some real life examples. First and I would say one of the most wanted requirements is to provide a fast and easy way to send quotes or invoices. In this simple dialog that’ll take just a few seconds I’ll take a quote in CRM – start a dialog that generates the document, create and attach the doc to an email and bring up the email record. Aditionally I’ll also use the Automerge service to print this document to my local printer and use Google Cloud Printing to send the PDF to my android device. <switch to Demo machine> So as you can see I have the quote brought up on my machine. Now if we where doing this the normal way I would have to use the “print quote for customer” to a PDF print, Open Outlook and type up a mail to the Customer, Attach the pdf to the email etc etc etc… But by using automerge its just as easy as 1 <Start Diag> 2 <select dialog> 3 <Click ok> So you can see here we have created an email with the quote attached as a pdf <open quote> Now we can chose to print this quote to my local print and using Google Cloud printing I’ll also send this pdf directly to my android phone. <turn on webcam and show print out and show phone> HERE YOU SHOULD TAKE YOUR TIME TO POINT ON THE BENEFITS

Installation / Configuration Simple msi-installation that imports the solution into Your CRM – system and provides configuration tools (Print-service configuration, Licensing tool) Provided Workflow-items: CreateDocument SendEmail AttachToEmail AttachToLetter PrintDocument After installation its just a few - minute configuration inside your workflow to generate the document and process it the way you want. IMPORTANT: Templates are generated by our powerful DocumentsCorePack Template-Designer (free license for AutoMerge customers) Now that we have seen it in action lets talk about installation and the workflow and dialog commands that AM provides. The installation is basicyll a simple MSI package that imports the AM solution into CRM. Using the AM server configuration, print service configuration and installing the license are all done thought a set of easy to use tools that will take about 20mins before your up and creating your first workflow or dialog.! WE SHOULD MENTION THAT FOR AM- ONLINE THE APPROACH IS EVEN MORE EASY AND THAT YOU’LL GET BACK TO THIS ON THE NEXT SLIDE AM adds the following commads for workflows and dialogs: CreateDocument - Enables the creation of Word-documents with data from MS CRM. It’s capable to resolve any relations and works with custom entities as well as with standard CRM entities. Therefore, AutoMerge provides the opportunity to automatically create e.g. quotes, invoices, etc. including data from related records like “other contacts”, accounts, products, etc. SendEmail - Gives you the ability to send an existing email. AttachToEmail/letter - With this functionality the generated document can be attached to emails and letters. PrintDocument - AutoMerge also provides the possibility to print out the created document. Lets take a look at the example dialog and go through each step then I’ll add a createdocument step which will give our email a less static feel. - ALSO SHOW THE PRINT SETUP (TO SEE HOW PRINTERS ARE ADDED INSIDE THE WORKFLOW ITEM) One thing to note is that template generation is handled by our DCP template designer. We include one DCP license with atuomerge so that you don’t have to buy an extra add-on to start using AM right away.

The Future of AutoMerge Cloud based AutoMerge Online Configuration for CRM 2013 Sorting for batch print jobs Additional –Workflow-Items I just like to take a moment to talk about some of the upcoming features and talk about the question that is on everyone's mind. Will automerge work with CRM2013? That’s a big yes! Not only that but for CRM 2013 online users we will be providing an option to use Cloud based AM which will be hosted on out Microsoft AZURE ;-) servers in the us and Europe. You will not have to install or provide a local server for AM to run in your online instance – ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS LOGIN TO THE CONFIGURATION ON OUR WEBSITE, SPECIFY YOUR CRM CONNECTION AND START THE INSTALLATION – THAT’S IT – 5 MINUTES LATER YOU ARE PROVIDED WITH ALL THE AM –FEATURES SHOWN BEFORE. “MAYBE YOU SHOULD MENTION THAT WE ARE ALWAYS LITENING TO OUR CUSTOMERS AND IMPROVE OUR SOLUTIONS” ->Also a big request was the sorting of batch print jobs. Due to the asynchronous service that process workflows user where finding that when they printed batch jobs the printout when not coming out in order. We have been working on a solution to this problem and should be releasing it shortly. Furtheron we are working on additional workflo items like attaching documents to any entity or a wait condition for dialogs.
