SPI 0807.Inq.2 Select tools and procedures needed to conduct a moderately complex experiment. SPI 0807.Inq.3 Interpret and translate data into a table, graph, or diagram. SPI 0707.Inq.4 Draw a conclusion that establishes a cause and effect relationship supported by evidence. SPI 0807.Inq.5 Identify a faulty interpretation of data that is due to bias or experimental error.

Pre-assessment and then. . . Complete your Study Island Pre-assessment Go to OneNote in your Office 365 and find our class notebook.

MIND PIE PRE-ASSESSMENT Analyze the slices of the mind pie at your table. For each slice of the pie place a piece of paper to indicate your level of confidence with the topic. The paper colors mimic the colors on a traffic light: Green= Go- very comfortable Yellow= somewhat comfortable Red= not at all As a group assess the colors. Determine the topic most members are confident about; least confident.

Scientific Method Vocab PART 2- RACES: Step 1- As a table determine the appropriate sequence of the index cards located at the center of your table. Raise your hands when you are ready for me to check. . . Step 2- Shuffle the cards. Then each group member takes a turn(s) placing the cards in order as quickly as possible. Step 3- The fastest member of every team prepare for a table to table face off challenge. Step 4- The winning participant wins prizes for entire group!!!!!! Complete for HW as necessary.

SUMMARY Have a good rest of the day! 3-2-1 3- Explain three components necessary to a well-designed experiment 2- Differentiate between the two types of variables 1- Assess your own understanding of the scientific method. Rank your confidence on a scale from 1 to 10. Explain. Have a good rest of the day!
