Don't Ignore the Signs of Faulty Intermediate Steering Shaft

Most of the cars have an intermediate steering shaft in their steering system to keep the connection between the steering gearbox and the steering wheel.

The intermediate steering shaft has two ends one end is connected to the steering gearbox and another end is connected to the steering wheel.

These two joints allow the angle between two components for support and turn the car's wheels smoothly and easily.

If you are driving your car with a faulty intermediate steering shaft, then it would not be safe for a continuous drive of your car.

Here are the common warning signs of a bad intermediate steering shaft that would be essential for consideration.

Loose wheel tilt

Now many of the modern cars are integrated with a wheel tilt to adjust the angle of the steering wheel in your car.

The adjusting of the steering wheel make your car more comfortable to operate and able to lock after you have select the desired angle.

But the faulty intermediate steering shaft unable to lock the steering wheel of your car as per the angle you have chosen.

Difficulty in revolving

If you are unable to revolving the steering wheel, then make sure that your car has a bad intermediate steering shaft.

When you will make a turn around the corner on the road, you will experience binding in the steering wheel.

If you are putting more force to turn the steering wheel then it proves to be more dangerous and somehow slow down your car.
