Speech disorder - causes,symptoms,diagnosis and treatment A Common-speech-disorder is a condition in which a person has a problem creating the speech sounds needed to communicate others.Common-speech-disorder

Some common speech disorders are: ●Voice disorders ●Disfluency ●Stutter-and-stammerStutter-and-stammer ●Articulation disorder Causes: Disfluency are the disorders in which a person repeats a word,phrase or sound. Sluttering may be the most serious disfluency. Some causes are the include:causes ●Cancer of the throat ●Acid from the stomach moving upward

●Hearing-lossHearing-loss ●Vocal cords ●Brain damage ●Respiratory weakness ●Strokes Speech is one of the main ways in which we communicate with those around us. It develops naturally,along with other signs of normal growth and development. Some cases, speech disorders may be hereditary which can develop over time: ●Oral cancer ●AutismAutism ●Laryngeal cancer ●DementiaDementia ●Drug abuse

Symptoms : Symptoms are the most effective way of determining if a person has a certain medical condition. Here are some symptoms of speech disorder: ●Pronunciation problem : there are several symptoms of speech disorder. The first or the last sound of the words might be left out or changed completely. The patient might have a problem in pronouncing the same kinds of sounds in other words. ●Repeating words : using extra words and sounds are the symptoms for speech disorder there might also be a tension in one’s voice or sound. ●Jerking or blinking : you feel very frustrated when you want to communicate with people. Jerking or blinking too much are signs of disorder. ●Taking different pauses while talking.

Diagnosis : They are several ways for the diagnosis-speech-disorders.and these are mentioned here:diagnosis-speech-disorders ●Denver articulation screening exam : these are one of the most preferred test, which helps to evaluate the clarity of your pronunciation between the age of two and seven. ●Early language milestone scale 2 test : this test helps to test a child’s language development. Delayed disorder related to language can be identified using this test. ●Peabody picture vocabulary test : it can help test the ability of a person to speak.this test has been revised several times. People who are blind can’t take the rest.

Treatment : In some cases, speech disorder does not required any treatment. Some get improved with speech-therapy.
