Presentation transcript:

 The super Absorbent polymer or SAP is a natural, non toxic, non- irritating starch-based biodegradable material. It is a new type of synthetic material which can absorb water more than a hundred times of its weight within a short time.  The SAP is a sugar-like hygroscopic substance which becomes swell by absorbing water and form a gel-like stuff. It can capable to maintain the moisture of the soil under pressure without a chance of exploring and conflagration.  It has high water absorbance power and also releases 95% of absorbed water in the soil.

 Potassium Based Super Absorbent Polymer is simply mixed within the cultivation soil. It sticks to the roots of the plant, and when the water and the fertilizer are available, it absorbs them. Later, it releases both when needed by the plant.  It can increase the water holding capacity of the soil for years in a row, thus also helping balance the water table.

 Generally, 1-2 kg SAP is applied per Acre. Apply the polymer under the soil at the depth of 4 to 8 inches in the root zone of the plants.  In the crop field; first, prepare a mixture by adding 1 kg polymer to 10 kg of dry soil. Then the mixture would be applied along with seeds or fertilizer after sowing or in the furrows before sowing.  In the nursery bed for transplantation; 2 gm of the polymer is used for every square meter and it should be used at the depth of 2 inches.

 Its help to prevent water loss in the soil.  In the cold region, its help to arrest the freezing of water in or around the root.  Improved the microflora of soil.  It upgraded soil nutrient and organic carbon status.  This hydrogel is perfectly fine to apply of medicinal plant, garden plant and also in nurseries.
