10.7 Cells in Series and Parallel (page 310). A “dry cell” is another term for a battery. Dry cells can be put together in two ways to change the energy.
 The continuous flow of electrons is current.  Measured in amps (A).  Two types of current 1. Direct current (DC) – electrons flow in only one direction.
 Electric Current- net movement of electric charges in a single direction ◦ Example- powering electronics.

While Driving Why the Car Battery Lights On

Now each of the modern cars has a 12-volt rechargeable battery for providing the energy to virtually every electrical component of the car.

If the battery of your car fails to recharge or dies altogether, then your car will not be able to function properly.

You can recognize the dying battery of your car in two ways one is by testing the voltage of the battery or wait until the headlights start to flicker.

The dashboard of the car contains a battery light which can illuminate whenever the computer of your car detect the battery is low or going to die.

Here the given points helps you to find the reason behind the battery light on while driving.

The alternator of your car run for 4 to 5 years and keep the battery fully charged when you are driving the car.

If the alternator of your car is damaged, then it unable to keep the battery charge and cause the battery light to illuminate.

The ground wire of your car is generally used to connects the negative terminal of your car battery.

if it is damaged or worn it, then it will affect the flow of power to the electrical components of the car and cause battery light to come on.

If the battery of your car is two years old, then it concludes that it will die soon especially if you are driving in a hot geographical region.

The car battery tends to die faster in hot temperatures and cause the warning lights to come on at any time.

The alternator belt of your car connects the crankshaft and alternator together. If it failed, then the battery light will come on.

If the alternator belt of your car is damaged, then it unable to function properly and the battery doesn't receive a charge to power the electrical components.

If you want to preserve your car battery power, then you need to prevent the uses of extra electronic accessories in your car.

These extra electronic accessories drain the battery power at the highly accelerated rates and the battery light comes on sooner.
