Presentation transcript:

The drive axle in your car refers to the rods or shafts that would be directly connected to the drive wheels.

The main purpose of drive axle is to transfer the power from the transmission to the wheel and go around the wheels when the axle turns.

As it can bear the weight of the car and the passengers. If the drive axle of are built to be tough, then the overloaded car crack or break the axle.

The following 4 symptoms help you to recognize the damaged drive axle in your car.

When you find the grease leaking at the underneath of the car or on the inside tire edges mean that the axle is leaking.

If inadequate grease is leaking from the car, then dirt can enter the joint through the broken cover and damage the axle.

When your car vibrated after the collision with a bad pothole or unexpected curb, then it can indicate the damaged axle.

The rumbling noise cause the vibrations, tire wobbling or sluggish driving and steering due to the damaged drive axle at the time of acceleration.

When you put your car into gear or the car struggle to get power, then it will produce some clanking or clunking noise.

This noises can indicate that the transmission is unable to transfer the power to the wheel due to the damaged axle and cause transmission failure.

When you drive the car at a moderate speed, if it starts fine with a normal engine sound and put in the right gear, then at the universal joint the axle is broken.

In this case, when you press the accelerator pedal, the engine will reverse and the car does not move.

So, it's your responsibility is to aware of the critical symptoms of a drive axle and inspect them regularly during the maintenance.

As it is not as much easy to understand, but the axle needs in proper condition for the safety of the engine, brake, tire and steering system.

When the drive axle of your car gets damaged, find a reputable technician to repair it promptly.
