Presentation transcript:

Oil is the blood of the internal combustion engine which helps the different components of the engine to lubricate.

Thus, the oil pan is located underneath the engine and serves as a reservoir for storing the oil which is circulated through the passages of the engine.

Oil pan gasket is placed in between the engine block and oil pan and serves as a seal while circulating the oil from the oil pan to engine block and vice versa.

If you drive your car continuously, then the oil pan gasket will wear and tear. Eventually, the worn out gasket unable to seal the oil any longer.

Here are the symptoms which can help you to determine the leaking oil pan gasket in your car.

When the oil is leaking out of your car, then your engine unable to receive enough oil to lubricate it and cool down its components.

As a result, it will cause engine overheating due to the robbing of moving components together and generate the intense heat.

When your engine is overheating, then the smoke emitted from the exhaust pipe and come directly out of the engine compartment.

As a result, the oil leaking onto the exhaust manifold. If you neglect the smoke leaks, then the electrical sensor of your car becomes damaged.

To confirm the oil leaks in your car, take a dipstick to check the oil level. When the oil level is low, then check around the car to find the leaks.

Also check the condition of the oil pan gasket. If it is worn out, then take your car to the auto shop to change the oil gasket.

If your car has an oil leak, then the engine warning light will automatically illuminate on the dashboard.

Some cars have the separate oil warning lights to determine the oil leaks, but the engine warning light is the common one.

The most common oil leaks you will find at the underneath of car means when you stop your car, and get out, then look the oil under the front of the car.

Here you will find, the liquid actively leaking out from your car and forming a big puddle on the parking ground.
