a city and county in the ceremonial county of Cheshire in the north-west of England. Chester is located near the west coast of Great Britain, 270 km north-west of London, and is the administrative center of Chester county, as well as the largest settlement in the county of Western Cheshire and Chester. Outside the fort walls, the settlement gradually grew. According to historians, its first inhabitants could be merchants who led a lucrative trade with the Roman army. Soon, retired legionnaires settled here. The settlement grew throughout the II and III centuries. Among its inhabitants were artisans - potters, bakers, butchers, carpenters and blacksmiths. Nearby was a small commercial port. Merchant ships delivered wine, ceramic dishes and other goods. Not far from the fort was built a stone amphitheater, the height of its walls reached 12 meters. Here were the fights of gladiators and cockfights

The name of the city comes from the Roman castrum (military camp). The history of Chester dates back about two thousand years ago in the era of the Roman occupation. In the 70s of our era on the territory of today's Chester Fort Deva Victrix was founded.

- a city and county in the metropolitan county of South Yorkshire, located in the central part of England. Sheffield is located 228 km north of London, and the train journey takes 2.5 to 4 hours. The name Sheffield comes from the Old English verb shed (sheth - to separate, to separate), which gave the name to the river Shif, and the half-suffix feld, denoting the cut down forest. The beginning of modern Sheffield, perhaps, was given by the Anglo-Saxon settlement, which appeared on a plot cleared of forest near the confluence of the Don and Shif.

Cheltenham - urban settlement and county of Gloucestershire in the central part of England. Cheltenham does not currently have city status. Cheltenham is located 143 km from the capital of Great Britain; the train ride takes about two hours. About three centuries ago, thanks to the local mineral springs, Cheltenham became a popular resort, and today it owes its international fame to the nearby hippodrome. The nickname of the inhabitants: (Cheltonians). Motto: ("Health and Education").

is a city and unitary region of the ceremonial county of Nottinghamshire in the central part of England. Nottingham is located on the banks of the River Trent, 175 km north-west of London.
