NURSERY TO PROPAGATION A PRESENTATION BY MR ALLAH DAD KHAN FORMER DG AGRICULTURE EXTENSION KP PROVINCE

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES NURSERY IMPORTANCE AND SCOPES Nursery is consequently the basic need of horticulture. Plant propagation techniques and practices is the core of horticulture nurseries. The planting materials for horticultural plantations are raised from seeds and vegetative parts Role of Mother Plants is very primary and important.

FRUIT AND VEGETABLES NURSERY IMPORTANCE AND SCOPES CONTD Plant nursery is very important for farming. If seeds are directly planted in the farm, the spacing between them after they grow might be uneven. But if they grow to a sapling stage in the nursery and then are planted, the spacing between them will be equal throughout. This is necessary so that there is no competition for water and minerals between the plants. To keep plants safe from too cold or too hot weather
