IMPLEMENTATION FRAMEWORK NTDP 2016-2022 IMPLEMENTATION FRAMEWORK

Republic Act 9593 provides the legal basis… 1 Chapter II: Tourism Governance Section 6 (c) “Call upon all agencies of government to properly carry out their programs in relation to and in coordination with the policies, plans and projects of the Department to assist in the implementation thereof;”

Republic Act 9593 provides the legal basis… 2 Chapter VIII: Creating a Culture of Tourism Section 98 “Tourism Coordinating Council.– A council shall serve as a coordinating body for national tourism development efforts shall be formed consisting of…”

Building on the Principles of Convergence to… Strengthen the institutional capacity of public and private stakeholders Ensure participatory governance and successful partnership further expand and improve cohesion and close participation of development partner organization

DOT as a the lead agency in: Carrying out the strategic action programs through convergence Assigning specific action plans within its internal office Taking initiative in the involvement of tourism sector Making representations with both houses of Congress to expedite the passing of appropriate laws and policies

In its implementation… the coordinative effort and the allocation of resources to support the strategic action plans are centralized at the TCC Tourism Congress provide technical assistance in the implementation of relevant action plans requiring private sector support NGAs with convergence programs with DOT are encourage to appoint with a coordinating office office/office
