STEP-BY-STEP CONSTRUCTION The tower scaffold demonstrated here is for a single storey tower set against a wall. A free-standing scaffold will be erected in the same way but will require four outriggers and additional cross braces and guard rails to close the open sides In all cases if toe boards are supplied these should be fitted Click once to continue

STEP-BY-STEP CONSTRUCTION Fix a long cross brace between the top of one side and the bottom of the other Step 11 Finally attach a short guard rail across the top of the two sides. This must be on the side of the scaffold AWAY from the wall These two braces are very important as they help to stabilise the scaffold and act as a safety rail. Step 12 Click once to continue

STEP-BY-STEP CONSTRUCTION You have now learned how to safely erect a mobile tower scaffold. Dismantling is the reverse of this process. As always care should be taken to ensure your safety. As it is taken down the various pieces should be safely stacked to avoid damage or injury IMPORTANT FINAL SAFETY POINT A TOWER SCAFFOLD SHOULD NEVER BE MOVED WHILE SOMEONE IS ON IT
