What is FOD? Maintains grounds and provides utilities for the 1,762-acre Columbus main campus Maintains and cleans 250 buildings Provides environmental health and safety services Manages 500 active construction projects – spending over $243M/year 2 November 1, 2011

Operations Performs campus maintenance, custodial, roads, landscaping and grounds services and offers an integrated service model that provides customers with a single point of contact and 24/7 service.

Plant, Operations and Maintenance Funds FOD uses Plant, Operations and Maintenance (POM) funds to offset basic utilities, repairs, and ongoing maintenance and custodial costs in campus buildings. Repairs resulting from normal wear and tear, including repair of plumbing Maintenance of the building envelope (roof, windows, foundation, walls, floors) Maintaining clean and safe campus buildings POM rates are calculated yearly based on campus-wide planned costs per ASF calculated for utilities, custodial services, and maintenance. 9
